IMPORTANT before installation
=====================

A backup should be created before installation.
Open the device's web interface in your web browser and log in as administrator.

In the device's web interface, select the "Backup" menu item under the "System" menu
and navigate to the top of the "Backup" page that opens.
There you will find the "Backup" section.
In the "Backup to:" section, select "Browser (File Download)" from the dropdown menu.
A full backup is recommended (all options enabled).

Data to be backed up:

Device configuration
I/O configuration
Metering configuration
Network identity
Recorded data and measurements
User data

Depending on the amount of recorded data, the backup may take some time.
Backing up the recorded data is not strictly necessary, but all other data should be backed up.

After making your selection, click the "Backup" button and the backup will start.
The backup file will now be written to the selected folder.



Installation
============

Unpack this ZIP-archive into a new folder, open the web-interface of the
device in your web-browser and log in as administrator.

In the web-interface, select menu item "Backup" in the menu "System" and
navigate to the end of the resulting page "Backup". There you find the
section "Update Device". Click the button "Choose a file..." and choose the
file "rootfs.tar.gz" in the folder that was created aboved, containing the
contents of this ZIP-archive. Then click the button "Update".

The update process can take one to two minutes, depending on the network
throughput, and will be completed by a restart of the device. Be sure to
provide a stable power supply for the device throughout the entire update
process.
