econ unit+ V2 - Data logger of the latest generation

The econ unit+ V2 is a powerful data logger for recording energy and consumption in buildings, on machines and systems. The recorded data is processed in the econ4 energy management software.

Just like our other hardware components, the data loggers are plug & play. This means that they integrate directly into your existing infrastructure. Nevertheless, the system remains scalable and is easy to expand.

Powerful data logger for recording energy and consumption in buildings, machines and systems.

  • Configuration via platform-independent web browser
  • Plug & Play integration into the econ4 energy management software 
  • Compact housing for installation on a top-hat rail
  • Two Ethernet ports with daisy chain function for linking additional devices, e.g. econ sens3
  • M-Bus and Modbus RTU interface allows different meters to be read, e.g.electricity, water, gas and heat (up to 80 M-Bus loads / up to 32 Modbus RTU participants)
  • Can be integrated into a BACnet/IP or Modbus TCP network (Modbus server)
  • Connection of expansion modules (simple, quick wiring with jumper plug)
  • Measured values can be sent (push) from the database via email (SSL) and FTP (SFTP)or read out (pull) via FTP (SFTP) either alternatively or in parallel
  • Digital inputs (8x inputs for recording and counting binary states up to 24 V DC, including 4x contact inputs for potential-free switches, also suitable for counting S0 pulses)
  • Digital outputs (4x transistor outputs with current limitation)

Adapter for the data logger for reading electricity or gas meters via optical interface. The data is transmitted via M-Bus.

  • The readout adapter is attached to the optical interface (DIN EN 62056-21) of the energy meter 
  • A neodymium permanent magnet provides the necessary holding force

Extension module 4xanalog to Modbus RTU
Erweiterungsmodul 4xAnalog zu Modbus RTU

Module with 4 analog inputs for recording currents and voltages, e.g. from active temperature sensors, electric ventilation and mixing dampers, valve controls, etc. Each input can be set as either a current or voltage input using a DIP switch on the front panel. With a Modbus master such as the econ unit+ V2, the inputs can be queried via standard registers. Suitable for decentralized mounting on TH35 mounting rail in electrical distribution boards.

Can be used for unit+ V2 / unit+ V2 WIFI. The connection between the devices is made via jumper plug (included in the scope of delivery).

Extension module 4xS0 to Modbus RTU

Module with 4 S0 inputs for counting S0 counter pulses. In the event of a power failure, the last counter readings are saved. The inputs can be queried via standard registers using a Modbus master such as the econ unit+ V2. Suitable for decentralized mounting on TH35 mounting rail in electrical distribution boards.

With Module S0/M-BusConverter the data logger is extended by 4 pulse channels.

  • 4-channel pulse counter for counting of pulses generated by energy meters via reed contacts or passive transistor outputs (open collector) in relation to the measured energy
