The amount on the electricity bill is made up of the following three components in particular: the basic price, the energy price and the performance price. The latter is only charged to large customers with an electricity demand of more than 100,000 kilowatt hours. Above this threshold, the Electricity Grid Access Ordinance provides for continuous electricity metering at 15-minute intervals. All of the measurements combined reflect the customer's consumption behavior over time – the load profile. The calculation of the power price is based on the highest average value from the values collected at 15-minute intervals. A load peak can therefore result in high prices, even if the average annual load is lower. The aim of modern load peak management is to control electricity consumption efficiently, thereby avoiding peak loads and reducing demand charges in the long term.

Commercial kitchens

Do you use a PV system to generate electricity? Storage solutions help you to optimize the use of self-generated electricity, absorb power peaks and reduce the load on the grid connection. Yields from the PV system that cannot be used directly are loaded into the storage system and help to bridge night-time demand and absorb load peaks. econ peak helps to increase the yield of the PV system through surplus storage and targeted self-consumption.
